BG - As far as the Big Brother houseguests are concerned, Jordan is history. A week after being nominated for banishment by her fellow housemates, Jordan, the former exotic dancer. was evicted by a wide margin of votes.
BG - Jordan,how are doing this morning? J - I'm doing great.
BG - You got voted out on your birthday. How bad did it, does is feel? J - It feels like total rejection, it really does.
BG - Do you take it personally? J - I don't see how you could not take it peronally, being voted out. It's a personal contest. You're being judged, personally.
BG - You said over and over you are just being yourself. Um, I guess it's safe to say viewers clearly dislike that Why do you think that they voted you out? J - I think that the most important factor was how I was being edtd on the television show, not, I mean obviously the internet was not edited, but on the television show, they created characters and they definitely created a character out of me.
BG - Why would the editors have targeted you? Why? What would be their motive for that? J - I definitely don't think that they targeted me. I think that everyone in the hose is a character, and, you're talkn ot sixteen plus hours of footage per person per day, squeezed down to two minutes that's actually aired. They're making some choices there.
BG - Well, that's true, but editors can only show what you do. J - Um huh, Um huh (agreeing)
BG - I mean, they can't make you do anthing. J - Right, right
BG - They can only show the characteristics that you exhibit, you'll grant that? J - Absolutely, uh huh.
BG - And the characterististics you exhibited show that your houseguests cleary didn't like you, is that fair? J - That's definitely fair.
BG - Okay, so why didn't they like you? They had nothing to do with the editing. J - Right
BG - Why didn't they? J - I don't think that they like me -- in fact I know they didn't like me -- because I was controversial. I was very confrontational in how I dealt with things. I wanted everything out on the table rightaway. I went on the show thinking I was going to have this big platform, I was going to be able to talk about myself, people would want to get into big discussion. They didn't want to do that at all.
BG - Here's what one housemate Josh had to say about you. Let's watch, then we'll talk.
Josh - She saw the entire thing with me, her, and Brittany as a competition and she was willing to do anything to win over Brittany or shows best or whatever and I jus think that's kinda mean.
BG - I don't mean to pile on, but I wrote down these last night as I was reading some of the comments and at various times folks in the house said you were, a liar, had a mean streak, were manipulative, were a schemer, were a sex tease. How do you plead? J - I definitely think, that I came off that way. That was definitely a side of me in the house. I'm not going to contest that.
BG - Your mistake in being that way? J - Uh, no. I think I was very true to who I am, all the different sides of who I am. And I think that people being...people kind of stonewalling me and not wanting to talk, not wanting to open, wanting to play cards constantly and, you know, be chore-happy, and I was just so annoyed with that after two weeks. I was thinking, well I'm gonna create some drama around here and get people to talk to me and get people to interact, because I was very focused on interacting.
BG - Is that why we saw you crying a lot in the house? J - Yeah, it was really hard for me. I had no support system there, at all. And the things I was going through about coming on national television telling everyone I was an exotic dancer for two years, that was highly stressful. And I felt didn't have the forum that I wanted at all.
BG - Did you think being sexually provocative might have had the other effect, might have helped you with viewers who kept on tuning in hoping you'd do something sexually outrageous? J - Definitely. I think that they wanted to go for the sexual slant, like , definitely, editing me.
BG - You had a little sexual tension with Josh. Was that real? J - Yeah, that was real sexual tension Yeah..But was it going to go anywhere? No.
BG - You were just playing him. J - I was flirting. I was flirting. And actually, when he came on to me, I welcomed the positive attention because I'd been under, I'd been experiencing so much hostility and a very covert hostility, from people. And so when he complimented me, I mean it is a compliment, I was refreshed with that. And I was so annoyed with how people were not confronting me, they were talking about me behind my back.
BG - So you were welcoming the attention that you got. J - I was welcoming the positivity, yeah.
BG - You had a relationship with Will Mega that was basically positive when you were in the house. Have you talked to him since you've been out? J - Yeah, he called me when I was kicked out.
BG - And said? J - And said, "You're kicked out!" I mean, we had this little song we used to sing about being kicked out, and, it was funny.
BG - He was here I guess about ten days ago, eleven days ago or something like that, and said he was looking to get into entertainment. What are your hopes? What do you do now? J - I'm probably going to end up joining the Peace Corps. I don't know. I'm thinking about making a beeline out of the country at this point.
BG - Will you be going back to dance at the club? J - Absolutely not.
BG - Absolutely not? People there said, yeah, you're coming back, your locker's still there. J - Yeah, most dancers would have a lot of comfort in that because it's a very, very hard industry to get out of, so when someone gets out, it doesn't affirm them being there.
BG - Real quick, do you have a pick to win it all? Do you even care? J - I think whoever's going to win is the person that CBS wants to win.
BG - Ouch! J - I'd say George. I'd pick George.
BG - Jordan, thanks very much. Take it easy. You can catch Big Brother tonight at eight, seven central. That's right here at CBS. |
