I
made some noticable changes to this site, including a new page as a tribute
to the good old days of MTV during the 80's decade, new photos and names in
the Friends Section, and some pretty new backgrounds and graphics. School
will be finished for the semester in only a few weeks, and I am now hunting
for a full-time teacher's aid position, which I will probably get very quickly.
I will be receiving my teacher's aid certificate next week. I was supposed
to student teach this spring, but thanks to Dr. Lisle me and all of the other
history education majors will not be able to student teach in the spring unless
some much higher power comes in and straightens a few things out. So
I am covering all my options by getting my teacher's aid certificate and looking
for a full time job in case I decide not to return next semester. I
still want very much to get my degree and teaching certificate, but I am willing
to hold off and work full time as an aide so that I can be independent.
I can always finish later on, hopefully after Blackburn has cleaned house
in certain departments. Either way, I will be in a public school full-time
next semester one way or another.

What do you
all think of the new opening animated vignette?? I just learned how
to create animation using Macromedia Fireworks, and this was my first try.
I would love to be able to use Flash someday if I can ever get the stupid
program installed onto my computer. As of recently, I have been temporarily
laid off from my job at Friendship home because almost half of our patients
either went home or passed away. I doubt I will be able come back to
work anytime soon, along with several of the other staff members, so I now
need to search for another job yet again to sustain my income until student
teaching in January. I'm hoping to land a bartending job (Wood Duck!)
because I've always enjoyed that and it would be something I could continue
doing through my student teaching semester. This coming Halloween weekend
I will be dazzling up the town and local bars in my beautiful homemade mermaid
costume. And next Friday I will be celebrating my birthday. The
only thing good about turning the big 2-5 is that my car insurance will drop
by about 40%. (For those of you who are still thinking about what to
get me for my birthday, I have a nice little list that you are free to consult!)
There will be plenty of photos from both weekends to add to the Photo Gallery
in case anyone doesn't see me during one or both of these festive weekends.

As of today, I fixed the broken
link to the music section and added new music to each page in there.
And as you can see, the main section has a new look and there is different
music on some of the other pages now. I finally figured out how to get
Geocities to play an entire background song as opposed to just a clip. I didn't
have any luck finding a full-time job this semester, so I am now working THREE
jobs until I begin student teaching in January. As of now I am employed
at Friendship Nursing Home, Taylor's Chili, and Carlinville Middle School
as a part-time teacher's aide as part of my work-program tuition aid.
Having three jobs definitely sucks, but what else can you do when you need
money and jobs are scarce in a small town? I will be happy to begin
student teaching in January so I can finally get my degree and teacher's certificate,
but I won't be happy about having to quit all my jobs. Having no money
and having to depend on my family for money to pay for my gas, cell phone,
and other expenses is not going to be a pleasant experience. I'm going
to feel like a lazy bum just like my ex-boyfriend....except my unemployment
will be involuntary whereas his unemployment is completely voluntary.

As you can see, Jordan's Secret World is now La
Feminína Jordan.
I was getting bored with the old theme and decided it was time for a much
needed makeover. I think the new theme better reflects me and my personality,
since we all know what a "girlie girl" I am. I have cut out
a few of the pages that I didn't think were much needed anymore. Almost
all of the remaining pages have new material in them and a different look.
I'm very pleased with the outcome of the changes to this site, and I hope
you will like them as much as I do. The settings on the guestbook have
been changed. Private guest entries are allowed now, and all entries
must still be approved before they will show up on the web for the general
public to read. So if you are coming here simply to try and leave
negative messages in the guestbook for everyone to read, don't waste your
time. On a more personal note, I am still trying to find a full-time
job because working at the nursing home and the chili parlor/bar is starting
to get old. I'm hoping to be hired as a full-time teacher's aide this
fall before I begin my student teaching experience in January. I will
be glad to see the remainder of my friends who will be returning to school
in the fall, but I am also glad that I won't be there as a student.
I'm glad to be away from all the gossip and B.S. At least most if not
all of the troublesome people are no longer there. Anyway, enjoy the
new website!!
