Regular Camera? Get Your Photos Developed Free and Put on the Web for Free!

When I went to Phoenix for a family reunion recently, I brought along my trusty 5-year old 35 mm camera. I shot a roll of film at our backyard barbecue and had it developed and put on the web for free. The web photo service that I used even returned my negatives to me. They notified me (by e-mail) when my film was received and when it was put on the web for viewing. I then went to their website and used it to notify all my reunion relatives that the photos were available for viewing on the web by them.

Three of my relatives who viewed the photos on the web were so satisfied with the service and the quality of the photos that they signed up for the service on the spot.

What is this service and how can they offer it for free? It's ofoto.com. I recommend you go there and sign up. They will then send you a mailer which you can use to send your next roll(s) of film in. Your roll of film goes to ofoto in Berkeley, CA. Then just wait for them to notify you when your photos have been put on the web. It usually takes a few days. Then do what I did - notify those you want to see the photos by sending them a link to the photos on the ofoto website.

Ofoto will then send you back your negatives. If you want to order prints from ofoto, you can place your order at the website. Prints are 49 cents each. You could also get prints made at your local drugstore from the negatives that ofoto sends back to you.

This is a wonderful deal for those who do not want to buy a digital camera and do not want to pay photo development fees.
