Starting life in a manky practise room at school, initially penning songs with all the gusto of real life misunderstood teens lacking in coping skills. Line up changes, and learning to actually play our instruments led us to practising in a car for a while, then in various bedrooms. Eventually, after a slightly mad, ill advised move to London (complete with briefly playing with mad, ill advised bands) we settled on plumbing the depths of strange, cider music with a new project, and promptly painted the name on a carpet and bought christmas lights to celebrate.
A sort of amalgam of 70s folk (Joni, Cat Stevens), nineties alt.rock (Pumpkins,Tad, Mudhoney, PJ) and assorted other bands....(Buckley, Pixies, Lemonheads, Husker Du, Replacements, Cure, yo la tengo, slint etc etc for all eternity......................) Consisting (at present) of drummer and guitarist/vocalist and one hundred million "potential" bassplayers, we have a whole bunch of songs written. Mostly ranging from soaring new wavey stuff to exceptionally drunken acoustic heartbreakers, (plus a secret penchant for death metal.)Recently we've played with a couple of, opressive bands in a number of London venues. Also at the Cavern club in Liverpool, and various venues in Essex. Now we're looking to find likeminded nighttime peeps to complete a strange, beautiful collective for more London based gigs and recording. x
