This is a bit like 'Sleaze Factor' by Steve Morse, in that it leaves some interesting rhythmic 'holes', so emphasize them by playing the bass notes staccato (short and sharp) and accented (louder). Watch out for the change in tempo in the 2nd half, and try using E minor pentatonic for your solo
