Abducted by Vegetables

Key E minor
The obvious influence here is Joe Satriani - specifically Surfing With The Alien
Notice how a simple tune is made more interesting by the choice of chords underneath
Structurally, the first section is in the form AA'BA, a bit like a limerick*, followed by a bridge in the relative major key G
Technically, make sure you use alternate up and down picking, especially on the coda section at the end (that's why I put that bit in) - practice it slowly to start with, and build up speed gradually
Construct your own solo using the notes from the tune - e, f# and g on string 1, b and d on string 2, and g and a on string 3. Start with string 1 only, and when you are happy with your solos on that, try adding notes from string 2 etc

*yes, I know limericks are conventionally written with 5 lines, but if you beat time, you'll find it's actually 4 lines of 4 beats each. So there. Back
