Lewis Black:

Contributor, "Back in Black"

Lewis Black has performed his hilarious social and political comedy throughout the world, and has received critical acclaim for his caustic commentary and cranky observations. Since 1996, Black has been featured in a weekly segment on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" titled "Back in Black." "Back In Black" features the unstoppable, loose-cannon commentary that Black has become known for as he looks back at the week that was in the world with topics ranging from current events and politics to holidays and the weather. Black will also play a major role in COMEDY CENTRAL's "Indecision 2000" coverage of the race to the White House filing reports both for "The Daily Show" and the network's website, comedycentral.com.

Black has recently appeared in his second stand-up special for COMEDY CENTRAL, his first being the sensational 1998 special "COMEDY CENTRAL Presents...Lewis Black." He has appeared in several films, including "Hannah and Her Sisters" and "Jacob's Ladder" and guest starred in the television shows "Homicide," "Law and Order," "The Hoop Life" (Showtime) and "Mad About You." He also played Bernie on "The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd." As a playwright, Black has authored over 40 plays that have been produced at theaters across the country, including "Czar of Rock and Roll" (with Rusty Magee) and "The Laundry Hour" (with Mark Linn-Baker).
