Jon Philibert.. a rare public performance... Philibert with a proven track record of commercial success, Supported by Rob "Curiosity Killed The Cat" Smith on guitar/vocals and John Howell on keyboards, Philibert performed songs he has had cut by American artists I Only Want To Love You Forever" (Gary Lumpkin & Connie Lee Stitch), "I've Been Rained On Too" (Bobby Bare and Tom Jones), the latter's version giving Jon a top 10 US country hit in the mid eighties and the lively Gary Lumpkin co-write "Honky Tonk, Two Steppin', Beer Drinkin', Saturday Night" which the late songwriting legend Carmol Taylor recorded. Three good songs and...and entertaining set with Jon being the first act to fully embrace the audience with some good patter.

Shake Rag Music Group

This guy has had to have lived in the south in a former life or taken long holidays there. All we know is that we love his good ole boy approach to some of the finest Traditonal Country Music that has ever been written.

We honored Jon Philibert during our first posting on our web site this past year as Favorite Writer of the Month.

He seems to know how to lay a pen on paper, taking out that something from the deepest depths of his heart, and letting it go. Makng us tap our toes, and look into our own hearts. Making the listener aware at all times of the beat and the surprise honky tonk lyrical content of his music. He has had many years of success with his songwriting and his involvement with Country Music People Magazine..

We take out hats off to you Jon. You have been a friend, and made so many friends here in the states, not only with your Great Music, but your sense of humor.

You have won our hearts and we just wanted to say Thank You Jon Philibert.
