Rush house

a concept model made for  the 'Rush House'.  This project has been built.

the client wanted simple barn like forms with corrugated metal claddings.

an entry glazed path separates the two forms of garage and house and this provides access to a linking balcony with a view to the south east.  a deck area leads out on to flat land on the sheltered north west side

concept model for final design project (victorial school of architecture)

a concept model made from rimu (oiled and polished) sandblasted perspex and aluminium

the idea was one of layering with layers of perspex each with old floor plans from the proposed site sandblasted onto the top surface.  when layered you can look through to see the rich architectural history of the site
