the Mazda MX-5 is The Car that taught us how to have fun again, conceived by people who could remember what it was like to drive MGB's, Triumph TR5 and 6's, and Austin Healeys and who thought that people would want to do this again. Almost half a million of us wanted to do this and the MX-5 is the result.

A Real 'Sports Car' with drive to the rear wheels, open top with a beautiful shape oweing a styling debt to the Lotus Elan, it epitomises what a sports car should be - not the fastest but sweet handling on double wishbone suspension makes this the most fun.

The following shots are taken in areas of New Zealand which are by and large off the main highways as the joy of this machine is taking those winding back roads otherwise known as MX-5 roads.

the shot to the left was taken crossing the mighty Whangehu river on the road to Ohakune, (actually it is more like a track!).
