Lauren and I went to this baptist church in Abilene and we liked it. We went again and the preacher was droning on about the "black flames of Hell" scorching you. Then the Sunday of judgement came. The preacher taught about a young couple that had recently started going to church there, I thought "us?". "This couple was living in sin together and we do not want them as members", he soon stated. Haha, it ain't us Lauren....but wait all these Baptist are looking at me, especially the one with the crazy sideburns. Lauren and I felt so uncomfortable, we left.
Were we living together...NO, but it hurt watching the judgement in the people's eyes.
Christ would have not condemend people for sin, just loved them and gently urged them to reconsider. I don't see Jesus at the stoning of the harlot going, "This woman will be smelling her own sinful flesh this very hour, stone her to join her father in Hell."
Jesus cries to us to follow him, unconditionaly, so follow him and love him. This page is a page of thoughts, pictures and prayers.
