Why would I build a Vision?
The truth be known, I'd love to build a Lancair Legacy or a Glasair III.  The thing stopping me is money.  What's stopping you from building or buying the airplane of your dreams?  Most likely it's money.  How did I come to the Vision?  Luck.  Why have decided to build one?  The style, versatility, range, and building materials.  I like the thought of building a composite aircraft, it's a new skill for me to learn.  It's plans built so if I need to modify the design, to an extent to meet my needs, I could do so without destroying the integrity of the airplane.  The airframe cost is not outrageous and the total aircraft cost can be kept within reason.  Yet the biggest seller has been the support and I haven't even began building.  Steve Rahm, the designer, is always timely with his answers and full of realistic advice.  His selling hook to me was being truthful.  Read the American Affordable Aircraft website.  He puts it out the way it should be advertised, brutal honesty.  In my opinion, Steve is the type of man who will go out his way to help you achieve your dream.  The other person I want to thank is Frank Alvarez.  He has answered my questions and been quite honest with me, too.  I hope Frank finishes his Vision soon.

They're are two types of builders, quitters and finishers.  The difference is that quitters stop dreaming once the work begins and finishers keep dreaming while enjoying the work.  It remains to be seen which I'll become but I'm hopeful that my time, effort, and money won't be a waste.
