Jonni's Victorian Parlor

Gems from Jonni

"Twenty Years from now you will be
more disappointed by the things that you didn't do
than by the ones you did do.
So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour.
Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover."
---Mark Twain

Hi! And welcome to my house of dreams, where I live happily with my 3 boys - Taz, Reggie and Jasper.

    Children's Literature

  • I have a special fondness for children's literature set around the turn of the century or before. I urge you to check out some of my favourite authors.

My very favourite series, discovered in childhood are the "Little House" books by Laura Ingalls Wilder. Please visit the best Laura Ingalls Wilder pages on the net, done by Rebecca "Zoie" Irby and Phil Greetham! There may be other "Laura" pages but they are only pale imitations!

After growing up I discovered the "Anne of Green Gables" series which sparked my love of all things Victorian. Check out the L.M. Montgomery pages.

Another recent discovery is the Betsy-Tacy series by Maud Hart Lovelace.

    Let's talk about weddings!
