Jon Mick

Mariah Carey

The Mariah Carey portrait was the first painted in Mick's new style. The picture like the others was selected after months and months of selection for the right pose and color composition. Mick decided that color should determine the make up of the portrait. White, Yellow and Orange were selected. The colors would give a 'distinct' look and feel to each subjected selected for a portrait.

Jennifer Lopez

The Jennifer Lopez Was the second portrait painted, it has the exact same style of the Mariah Carey. A "color composition" but with a "color background". Slightly different so its unique. It give the appearance of an "aura" of the subject. The Jennifer Lopez is "considered" the "best" work to date with the Mariah Carey and Angelina Jolie following in the Mick style.

Halle Berry

The Halle Berry Was a study in "photorealism" using the Mick style. It was selected because of a matching photo to an old canvas Mick had available but never used because of its odd size.

Jennifer Aniston

The Jennifer Aniston is a "classic" skin tone portrait incorporating many elements of the Mick style. Uniquely, Burnt Sienna mixed with large amounts of white were used for the skin tone. Jon Mick believes that "pigment skin tone" paints based on "pink" are not correct for the human form in paintings. It is the "one" always asked about.... "Who painted this one?". A fan favorite.

Angelina Jolie

The Angelina Jolie is a "stark stunning" approach to the Mick style. "Secretly" painted based on the patriotic colors "Red, White and Blue". Ms. Jolie has unique "green blue" eyes. The eyes are "green near the iris and blue on the outer edges. Blue was used for "style" purposes. A little like a Nagel but has many "real portrait highlights and details". Uniquely, the details were painted in grey and an overcoat was used for the "classic" white face of a Patrick Nagel or a Jon Mick..
