- Then
the participating classes send post cards with weather information back
and forth.
- The post
cards are mailed the first school day of every month.
- At the
end of the project the postcards are analysed, their information is summarized,
and overall conclusions are shared and discussed with all participants.
Getting to
Know
the Cultures
of the World
1. Match up classes around the world that are willing to participate in a surface mail project.
2. Every holiday have the class fill out a post card appropriate to the holiday and explain what kind of special events, celebrations, traditions, etc. are occuring in their part of the world.
3. After every postcard is filled out by a class it is then mailed to another participating class.
4. Whenever a class recieves a post card, the contents of the card are reflected upon and responded to.
5. This project will introduce students around the world to the various cultures individual countries possess.
*The project would begin in September and last one full school year.
**The postage for the project may be expensive. However, avenues such as fundraising, project allowances, etc. may be possible answers.
