I had my name called in a contest where a spectator got to compete for $50. I had to make a 3-pointer, a free throw, and a lay up in (I think) 30 seconds. I did it, and everyone cheered. Then the guy told me I did it wrong. I was supposed to do it in a particular order. So he let me try it again, and I still did it. Amanda was not at the game--she was working the evening shift, but she heard it broadcast over the radio. She didn't know it was me, but when the radio announcer said something about me looking young enough to be on the team, she thought it might be me. This was back in December 1998--I was 24. Amanda and I both look young for our age. |
