Him

Part Six

When I reopened mine eyes,
there then came great, white lightning.
Lightning flashing in the skies,
But lightning far from frightening;
Frightened, I was not, by the great white light.

Seconds later came the roll,
The rolling thunderous boom;
A boom you felt in your soul.
A boom that shook sun and moon;
The sun then fell, and it seemed it was night.

Above, though, the stars still shown,
And all was clear to the eye.
The beast did not howl or moan
But then did whimper and cry
For the gold trees parted and there He stood.

It was a sight to behold:
A tall white horse and rider;
With reins and saddle of gold,
He did not seem a fighter.
But knew Him, I did, and knew, I, He could.

I could see the horse was strong.
Standing tall and full of faith,
With white mane and tail so long,
The horse itself seemed a wraith.
Such a haunting horse near made me shiver.

The man beheld a quiver,
A quiver of solid gold;
And a bow like a sliver
In His left hand He did hold.
A silver sliver and a gold quiver.

Three arrows in the quiver
Silver body and gold face.
Only three in the quiver,
But each one with it's own place.
From the quiver many diamonds dangled.

Items on his waist were two:
A cloth and a crystal sword.
The cloth was clean, white, and new;
Sparkling was the long, clear sword--
The hilt and handle were sapphire spangled.
