First, there was the required March timeframe due to Frankel's school schedule. Then, there was no snow in February for weeks. But with a $79 fare to Denver (albeit with a 3:30am mountain time arrival on Sat), and a $8.99 daily jeep rental (!!), things were looking up. The snow came, and came, and came, and then the sun came out. Probably our best 4 days of skiing ever. We learned that it is possible to do Vail without spending a fortune - food was great and not overly expensive. Next time, check vailonsale.com for better deals on condos?? Not much you can do about breaking the $80 lift ticket threshold though ($81). In addition to the photos, check out these videos from Frankel's new cell phone (courtesy, of course, from Mark).
