In 2005, we got motivated to build a skating rink. Too many long, gray, snowless winters convinced us that this is the way to beat the Boston winters. With much enthusiasm and advice, we began the project. Seeing as this is going to be a yearly endeavor, we thought we'd capture some key statistics to document our rinks. If you are motivated to build a rink, be sure to read the book "Home Ice" by Jack Falla. And remember, you can't love the game until you've shoveled the ice.
