Dear Family and Friends,

God is good.

A decision has finally been made. Today I met with the head of civilian personnel, and he laid out our options. After speaking with him, it became crystal clear that we need to return to Phoenix, Arizona. I thank God for providing direction through this meeting today. We're blessed to be returning to Phoenix. In fact, just last night, I heard from our Phoenix, AZ pastor and wife and they said that our church family was standing by, ready to help us if we came back to Phoenix. What an encouragement. I'm not sure when we will be leaving, but I think it will be soon.

Tim's condition:

Tim's fever is up and down, but he seemed more comfortable today. They still aren't sure what kind of bug he has, but the doctor mentioned MRSA today. It can be resistant to antibiotics but they are doing everything that they can to knock it out. Tomorrow (Tuesday) Tim will undergo a surgery (Tracheostomy). Any surgery at this point is risky, so please pray that Tim comes through it ok.

I feel like a huge weight's been lifted off my shoulders now that we have a definite place to go. I want to thank all of you for all the information you sent my way, as well as the practical offers of help you extended.

One last thing, the director of civilian personnel told me that as long as Tim had leave on the books, he would continue to receive his salary. Many people have inquired whether or not they can donate leave to Tim. The answer is yes- but only civilians working for the government can donate leave. Active duty personnel can't donate to a civilian. If you're interested in donating leave, you can contact Eva Morales in Misawa (calling from Misawa: 226-3506).

Thanks for everything,

Love,
Carole and the Kids
