Mom wishes to thank everyone for all of their love and support. It is very difficult to make phone calls from the hospital to the States, and so she is unable to return calls at this time. (Mom has not left the hospital since Dad was admitted.)

Dear Family and Friends,

Yesterday, I forgot to tell you that there had been a mild earthquake while I was sitting and reading the Bible to Tim. I told him that it was probably the Lord Himself coming down to Japan to see for Himself what the outcry about Tim Jones was all about. (Thanks to your fervent prayers.)

Today (Sunday), they were supposed to start warming Tim, but they decided that they would keep him in this hypothermic state for one more day.  This is not usually done because at about 3 days, the risks to the rest of the body really begin to outweigh the benefits of the treatment. Tim has kept himself so fit and strong, though, that his body and vital signs have remained very stable, very good.

Other than that, nothing much has changed. The pressure in his cranium is getting lower- that is good. So Monday, our time, they will begin to warm Tim.

Today as we were leaving ICU, one of the Japanese male nurses approached us to ask what we were singing about as we sat with Tim. He said the songs were very beautiful. We told him, through our translator, that our songs were about our mighty God and that we were praising Him. He has also been fascinated by the many friends who have come to pray over Tim. (The hospital has been allowing our friends and church family to come back to ICU and pray, read, or talk with Tim and I. What a blessing!) Please pray that this man will accept a Japanese New Testament.
