quick view - upcoming TV appearances

4.5.01 - matchbox twenty is not VH1's Artist of the Month as previously anticipated. *sigh* ... Janet Jackson is. Don't fret. They will be soon enough. Hehe

I've heard it around the Internet; one of the DJ's on the radio station I listen to has said it too. There's talk of matchbox twenty doing another tour before the end of the year! Cross your fingers.

2.9.01 - An article on Rob and Marisol is in the February/March issue of Latin Girl. If you just can't get enough of Rob-and-Marisol-true-lovey-dovey-goodness, you'll love the article. I did. It's two pages long with three pics of the couple. It also has a top ten list where they each name ten things they love about the other.

The taping of Storytellers is taking place today. Congrats to everyone who got to go. Lucky!

Here's a reminder from Jason of the Street Team (only the show is today now, not tomorrow. lol):

Don’t miss the Rosie O’Donnell Show tomorrow!  The performance was great
and Adam hands Rosie a special little note and that’s all I’ll say ;-).
Rosie airs at 10:00A.M. EST on ABC so set your VCRs.

Here's also info from Jason on matchbox twenty's HMV performance:

I know you’ve all been waiting patiently for the details on matchbox
twenty’s HMV Records in-store performance.  Matchbox will be performing
five songs at HMV Records located on 42nd street, between 7th and 8th
avenue. The doors open at 5:00, band plays at 5:30.  Please no cameras,
audio or video equipment. One song from their performance will be
broadcasted on NY’s Z100 (100.3) so tune in and listen.

Adam posted at the Official GD (www.matchboxtwenty.com) on Thursday. Here's his post:

Hey Fellas and Felines....

Your old pal AG here....listen, is it just me, or did they NOT list our letterman appearance and or our ROSIE show appearance this Friday morning?

::scratching head::

Hmmm....I am wondering why we are all trying so hard here...it is beyond me my friends....pretty soon we'll have to deal with this ourselves. THAT would be VERY fun!

::thinking of all kinds of trouble to get into with the guest-book-a-teers::

::grinning::

OK, ok, not THAT much trouble! This site is PG-13....at least during office hours.

Now, back to my point....we are all doing well....filming the Rosie show in NYC as was Letterman Wed night(sorry if you missed it) and besides all this....miss seeing you all...but not for LONG! We'll be around very soon....but first, I need you ALL to do something for me please?

Please send our webmaster about 1,000 letters each(or any number you are happy with) asking why our current TV info is not updated on the home page screen or in our little SHOW AND TELL box?

It really baffles me, and hell, I thought this was OUR site?

Sounds like a mutiny to me.

Anyway....the good news is, they have given me a link to do the Questions and Answers here...so starting next week...we'll have THAT going for us! Damn, if I don't like answering your questions!!!

Favorite color and band name questions will be discarded....all OTHERS and ANY others are acceptable.

And yes, I had a poodle when I was younger....if that was ONE of your questions.

Name?

Oh THAT my friends is TOP secret!

; )

See you all soon...and soon I will see!!!!

Love,

Your pal to keep,

Adam.

Yay! They're bringing back the good ol' Q&A!!

Reminder: matchbox twenty are up for two Grammys in this year's awards ceremony. The airing takes place on Febrauary 21st. More information will be posted when it all becomes available. =)

2.1.01 - the matchsticks will be taping an episode of VH1's Storytellers on February 9th! Isn't this great news? They definitely needed to do a Storytellers. If you want to win tickets to the taping (which is in New York), and you are currently part of the fan club and/or the street team, just send an email with the heading "I CAN BE AT STORYTELLERS" to [email protected]. That's all! But you have to make sure you email before 12:00 pm EST this Saturday. I wish I had the money to go to NY so I could enter. *sniff* Those of you who can, don't miss out on the chance to enter!

There is a fan club travel package to Vancouver and Canada Seattle, WA is being offered now at the official fan club. Once again - something I wish so badly that I could attend. Check it out, though. Tickets for this travel package are already on sale, and the deadline is February 20th.

Plenty of tickets to the second leg of the upcoming mad season tour are on sale now. Fan club tickets may sell out fast, so make sure you get yours as soon as possible.

1.25.01 - matchbox twenty will be on the Rosie O'Donnell Show on February 9th at 9:00 am ET! Thanks to Natalie ([email protected]). Check directly below for other announced TV appearances.

1.23.01 - Adam has written another postcard, which you can read by clicking here.

matchbox twenty will be on the Late Show with David Letterman on Tuesday February 6th. Jennifer Lopez is also a guest (wasn't she a guest when they performed Real World on Leno? Sorry. No relevance. lol). Hopefully they'll play Mad Season! This info was from www.rockontv.com

On January 30th, VH1's 25 Sexiest Artists will be re-aired at 11:00 PM ET also.

**Tour dates taken from the official matchbox twenty website. ON SALE means they are on sale on that date from the Fan Club only. Tickets will be available at Ticketmaster.com as well, just not the same time as the Fan Club, apparently.

1.15.01 - The next new single is confirmed to be Mad Season (yay!). It should be released in March.

Several tour dates have been released up to a March 29th date in L.A. Expect more concert dates to be confirmed soon! Remember, they're touring with Lifehouse and Everclear.

Oh gawwwddd.... there is the strangest sound coming from the neighbor's house. This loud, loud rolling noise, as if someone has a ten foot boulder they're rolling up and down the hall. Freaky. I think it's time to go now. ;)

1.04.01 - Rumor no more. Lifehouse will be an opener for matchbox twenty's 2001 tour, which is set to start at the end of February, after the Grammys! Guess who else is on this tour? Okay, so most of you know already, but Everclear is also an act for the tour. This IS official, but the dates have not been posted yet. They will available as soon as they are confirmed!

Hopefully, some of you caught the Craig Kilborn (I think that's his name) Late Late Show, because Lifehouse performed their single, Hanging By A Moment, on there. Dick Clark was the one to introduce them, and in the introduction, he stated that Lifehouse has performed with Pearl Jam before, and that they are slated to perform with matchbox twenty on an upcoming tour. I was very happy at the matchbox mention!

1.03.01 - The Grammy nominations are in, and matchbox twenty are in two different categories as far as I can tell: Best Rock song (with Bent) and Best Rock Album (with Mad Season). Let's hope matchbox brings home an award or two ::crosses fingers:: ... To view the complete list of Grammy nominations, go to www.grammys.com.

Here's some info on future meet and greet packages for the upcoming tour. I got the info from Eryn, who emailed the questions and received this reply.

1.) If the meet and greet package is going to be in the same town that one of us lives in...is it possible to pay a cheaper price since we won't need a hotel?? Just wondering if that would be an option in the future....

--- When we put a package together, it is not to sell meet & greets even though that is probably what motivates most people to attend. We are offering the package as
a whole - travel to see the band in a cool city, hang out at the same hotel with other mb20 fan club members, great seats at the show and the meet & greet. We can't just offer parts of the package, even if people live in the area and don't need the hotel. What we are trying to do is have people experience the whole package.

2.) We know the tour dates haven't been released yet, but do you think you will be doing the fan club packages for the east coast now since the previous ones were on the west coast??

----- Until I see the tour routing, theere is no way for me to know where the next packages will be. There are many things involved in selecting a location, but I'm sure we'll have something on the east coast. We should have tour dates very soon and we are looking forward to putting together more packages!

12.29.00 - Okay, this is still rumor, I think, but I just had to post it. I'm so excited. Lifehouse might be the supporting act for matchbox come Febraury for the 2001 tour. If they skip over my city for this one, I'll be more than pissed. lol. For those of you who don't know who Lifehouse is, please please check them out www.lifehousemusic.com - They are one of my favorite new bands, and I personally recommend you get the CD. You can listen to a few songs at their site first, if you'd like. BOTH Christina and I have their CD, No Name Face, and we love it. =)

I wish there was more news on the matchsticks, but I think it will all come when the tour is closer to starting up again.

Gratitude: Thanks for coming around to Jones Crazy again, despite the lack of updating the past few months. We are now in our "Getting Back in the Loop" period, trying to get this place into a fully-functional-fun-to-be-in-matchbox-twenty-worthy-website. =)

Our Weekly Begging: We really need some new fanfic. COME ON, guys; we're begging here!!! Pick a matchstick (or use all of them). Think of a situation. Put them in it. Kyle's caught in the middle of a bank robbery. Rob loses his voice. Brian gets lost in the woods. Anything. Write it down and send it to us. Obviously, it can be outrageous, funny, whacky, sad, dramatic, horrific, whatever! We'll post it in our new Current Fanfic section and you can receive awesome feedback on it, while also knowing your story is entertaining fellow fans. How great is that? ;) Send stories to us (no zips, please) at [email protected] or [email protected] . Thank ya in advance.

11.19.00 - I got my matchbox twenty fan club package in the mail the other day! It contains .... *drum roll* .... my own little fan club card (plastic just like a credit card, and the coolest color of blue), the newsletter with a introduction from Adam and an interview with Rob, and on the back of that is a nice-sized poster of the guys. There's a little thing to order T-Shirts from, and photo-sized cardboard-paper pictures of each bandmember (black and white). Pretty nifty stuff.

Umm ... not much is really going on with the band, aside from their tour. Hopefully there will be new tv appearances in the near future.

If You're Gone is doing really well in the charts. I know they're playing it often on several Denver radio stations. Go, Alice! That station rocks!

Hey, hey, hey. Listen up, guys. Rob just might be in a movie! The movie title is "Now You Know" and Rob would be playing a small part. The band might also have music on the soundtrack -- they're hoping for something new. Don't expect any new information anytime soon, though; it seems like they're keeping it all secret. I don't know if this is true or not. I read this news from the excellent site, Zenlaup20, and Paula did say she didn't know for sure if this was 100% true, but still!.... =D How awesome is that?

Sorry, about the lack of updates. Both of us have been really really sick lately (imagine that, and we don't even live in the same state). But I'm getting better, and hopefully Christina is too. And within the next two weeks, my whole college fiasco will be over with and that means tons more time for the site!! Woohoo. We've missed working on it as much as usual!

11.4.00 - matchbox twenty is nominated for "Song of the Year" with Bent on the Radio Music Awards. The awards show will air tonight, Saturday November 4th, at 9:00 pm ET.

There's a good article on Rob in the latest People magazine. It includes a few pics of Rob, one of the entire band, and one with Marisol.

matchbox twenty is currently on tour in Australia.

Jason (matchbox twenty's body guard, if you didn't know) has been posting frequently over at the official GD. So if you want to try and converse through posts with him, and occasionally Adam, get your butts over to www.matchboxtwenty.com. =)

10.21.00 - matchbox twenty will be on Jay Leno the 25th of this month!

Everyone who has a spare minute, email [email protected] and let 'em know you want more of matchbox twenty than just a performance on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. I heard about this through the official GD and thought I'd post it here. Maybe we can rally for a short interview after their performance or something? Worth an attempt. Email the show if you can.

Please please please vote for matchbox twenty at www.vh1.com! They need to win, guys! And if we ALL started voted, we could prove ourselves as the best fans and get them there!

Denver Post's concert review of October 16

Look! My (Age) paper rocks. lol. The Rocky Mountain News put matchbox twenty on the front cover of the Spotlight (Entertainment) section on the day they performed here in Denver. And I'll have my concert experience, review, and pics posted soon! This here below is what was on the cover of the paper last Monday. The orange title says, "Mad About The Boys" and the little subheading says, "matchbox twenty's radio-friendly songs are all the rage with fans." I think I read the article somewhere online before, but I'll type it up after work and post it here. Sorry about the wrinkles. I carried that paper around and showed a lot of people. Hehe. =D

Site News: If you've noticed, Jones Crazy hasn't been updated as much as usual. We were talking about getting someone else to help us with updating for the next couple months because we just haven't been able to keep up with the site as much as we'd like. I honestly have hardly any time to update as much right now, at least until the first semester has finished and all the college craziness is over. So ... instead of having someone else do this, we've decided to update the site once a week, every week, unless there is breaking news, which we will then post immediately. This is only temporary ... until mid-December by the latest, and we still think it's good because Jones Crazy will be updated at least once a week now! And around Christmas, hopefully we'll be updating every couple of days. Thanks for the understanding, and always send us feedback! Without that, we don't know the purpose of running of Jones Crazy - we don't know who cares if it's updatted or not.

10.11.00 - Australian news from Lauren! - [email protected]

* Triple M (radio station in Melbourne and Sydney) is running the most awesome competition ever:)!
The prize consists of 2 return economy airfares to Cairns - Queensland (15 people can win), 2 nights twin share accomodation at the Mecure Harbourside in Cairns, a welcome BBQ at the Mecure, breakfast on Sunday and Monday morning, Matchbox Twenty concert on Green Island, party cruise from Cairns to Green Island return, post concert party and BBQ dinner on Sunday night and a Rock the Reef with Matchbox Twenty souvenir t-shirt!!!!!!!
To win you have to ring and register on Rob Thomas' Message Bank lol (I'd say MMM got Rob to do the talking) and then listen to MMM every morning where they ask questions and then Andrew Denton (radio host) will ring a random person who then has to answer the question that was asked!
- (the very unfortunate thing about this is I live 230 km from Melbourne in the country and we don't get Triple M, therefore I cannot enter so if I find someone who wins I'll ask them to write you all reviews (for Jones Crazy and for Street Team)....I was about to ring the number last night when I realised that I HAD to be able to listen to the station AND be home from 6am anyway and I work from 7am so as you could imagine I was not very happy! anyway, as soon as I find out more I'll keep you updated:)

* Rob also spoke on the phone to Andrew Denton about the upcoming tour, Green Island concert and Matchbox Twenty. This I actually got to hear because on Sunday mornings DENTON is played on a radio station where I live from 10am to 12. It is just 2 hours taken from somewhere in the week and they played the Rob interview!

Concert Review found on internet (not that good, but not that bad)

Matchbox twenty enjoying ``Smooth'' sophomore ride (article)

Taylor Guitar gives out this magazine periodically called "Wood & Steal". This particular edition has a small article on new Signature Guitars, Jewel
being one of them. There's a cute pic of her playing, along with a few nice paragraphs on her. Theres also a few pics and articles on people such as Rob
Thomas, Matchbox 20 - Clint Black....etc..etc.. Pick up your copy at any local music store that carries "Taylor" guitars!!!
(Thanks to Ami for this news!)

9.29.00 - Rob and Marisol's wedding was again featured on TV. This time it was on VH1's "Rock 'n' Roll Weddings" and Marisol was actually the host of the show! Fans have been saying that it was a different special than what was aired on the InStyle show in early May this year. A show called "Rock 'n' Roll Weddings" will be airing this Saturday (the 30th) at 8:00 pm ET..... but ... we're not sure if it's the one with Rob's wedding. It has a little #2 next to it, like a second episode. Check it out anyway. Their wedding is the very first one featured, so tune in early just in case it IS the right one.

Australian News from Laruen ([email protected]) !
* Victorians have two opportunities of meeting Matchbox Twenty at Melbourne Park after the November 10 show! -

1. The "If You're Gone" single has a competition going through www.warnermusic.com.au where you go to the site and fill in your details, the code on the single you have bought and a question you would ask the band. Entries close October 1st. There is one prize winner in each state and the winner and a friend get front row seats and backstage passes!!!

2. The Herald Sun (Melbourne newspaper) is running a competition which closes October 4th. You have to submit a question that you would like to ask the band. The band reads the questions and the winner gains a double backstage pass. You must already have concert tickets. 15 runners up get their questions answered by the band and they will all be printed in the paper. Entrants can fax, e-mail or post their answers (preferably on a postcard).

9.28.00 - Adam's guitar was returned! Here's the news from the Associated Press from a www.infobeat.com newsletter:

*** Stolen Matchbox Twenty guitar returned

OCALA, Fla. (AP) - The stolen guitar of Matchbox Twenty guitarist
Adam Gaynor has been returned along with an apologetic letter from
the thief. The green Taylor acoustic guitar was returned undamaged
Monday to an Ocala radio station by two men. The guitar was stolen
Sept. 18 during the band's performance at the University of Florida.
Gaynor had made appeals on radio stations in Gainesville and nearby
Ocala for the guitar to be returned. A friend of the thief called a
hot line set up by the band's record label to say he knew who took
the guitar and that the person wanted to return it. "He said, 'I
think he did something stupid and felt really bad about it,'"
Atlantic promotions manager Shirley Torlucci said of the caller.

Not much else news. The guys are still on tour ... Adam's guitar is back - safe and sound. Oh, apparently, If You're Gone isn't the only released single out now. Crutch is being played on radio stations too. They released two at the same time - my guess is to appeal to different listeners (softer song and a rock song).

Remember to send in any reviews if you would be soooo kind, and if you're going to the concert (that would kind of be necessary to write a review, huh? Unless you're bored or have already written a review on Mad Season or something.... ANYTHING - we'll love it). Thanks!

9.22.00 - Rob's supposed to be on VH1 tonight at 8:00pm on a show called Sex Sells: The Men. hehehe

AOL had a pic and little blurb about matchbox twenty on that pop up window that's there whenever you sign on. The caption was titled No Sophomore Jinx Here and it said, "Matchbox Twenty's Mad Season is a smah" - woo hoo!! Then they provided a link to the CDnow audio interview with Rob. You can hear that by clicking here

Whether you're a new street team member or not, Jason has said that he wants us all to fill out the registration form at http://www.electricartists.com/streetteams/index.html when you get the chance, if you haven't already.

Is everyone voting for matchbox twenty at vh1.com?? I sure hope so! We can really hwlp out the guys here! Click the image below to vote for them to win at the VH1 Viewer's Choice Awards!

9.19.00 - You're gonna hear this everywhere, but that's the point --- > One of Adam's guitars was stolen at the Gainesville, FL concert on Monday, the 18th!! If ya have any info about it, you're supposed to call 212-707-3200. It's just not another guitar, guys. It's very special to Adam! Below is the full notice that was sent out.

GUITAR STOLEN FROM ADAM GAYNOR OF matchbox twenty

Adam Gaynor, guitar player for matchbox twenty, had a guitar stolen
from the side of the stage toward the end of the band's performance in
Gainesville, FL last night at the Stephen O'Connell Center. It is a green,
acoustic Taylor guitar that holds unlimited sentimental value to Gaynor.

A reward has been posted for the return of this guitar, and there will be
absolutely NO QUESTIONS ASKED. Gaynor would be forever grateful
to have this favorite guitar back.

Anyone with information about this guitar can call 212/707-3200.
Again, there will be no questions asked.

matchbox twenty is currently on tour in support of their second album,
mad season by matchbox twenty.

9.9.00 - matchbox twenty will be on a live MSN chat on Monday, 10:00 pm Eastern time!

9.7.00 - If you haven't seen the If You're Gone video yet, head on over to our video section to see it now - courtesy of launch.com! If anybody would be interested in having a chat sometime in our chat room to discuss the "coolest" ways of helping get the new single as well heard and received as Bent has been, kind of like forming a commitee to find the best ideas to present to the street team, please please please go ahead and email us at [email protected]! Just put "If You're Gone single" in the subject of the email or something.

Artist Direct is having contests, giving away concert tickets to upcoming gigs as well as a chance to meet the guys before the show! Just click on the banner below to enter.

If you're interested in helping out with promotion for the concert you're going to, find the state you're in and email the address listed for it. You can help by handing out flyers and such.

9.3.00 - Australian News from Lauren! ->The If You're Gone C.D single is rreleased tomorrow (Monday 4th September). The b-sides are Bent (live) and Back 2 Good (live)

Mad Season has moved back up further in the charts to number 11 due to concert promotion and CD sales.

9 times platinum Yourself or Someone Like You is even back in the top 100 at number 79

8.30.00 - I like the dots between the dates much better than slashes. =D That's how we'll do it for now. Hehe

Don't forget to check out the premiere of the If You're Gone video TODAY on MTV's TRL

On VH1 Live today also at 6:00 pm EST, there is more matchbox! This is posted at the station's official site:
Via satellite from New Orleans, matchbox twenty stop by VH1_Live to chat it up with Rebecca and company. The multi-platinum rockers will discuss the "Mad Season" that lies ahead as they prepare to kick off a U.S. tour in mid-September. Tune in to wish them smooth sailing.

Hey! I have the TV on while I'm typing this up, and it was going through that Survivor video list thing. Smooth was the number one pick by this guy over Creed! There was a brief (REALLY brief - 10 seconds) clip of Rob saying how he was glad that it won and that it was Santana's war cry of the summer.

Several radio stations across the country are holding contests and such, giving away free matchbox twenty concert tickets! So stay tuned and good luck if you don't have them yet!

8/29/00 ~ Jones Crazy is back online with a brand new look. Hope you like. The tour dates have been posted. Click here to see where matchbox twenty will be for the next several months. Their opening act for the first leg of the tour will be The Jayhawks and Shelby Lynn for the second half. Tickets are already on sale, so go to matchboxtwenty.com for more info.

Kyle's Birthday is today - the 29th! He turns 25. Paul's 28th Birthday was on August 22nd if you didn't already know. =)

The video for If You're Gone will premiere on MTV's TRL tomorrow, August 30th!!

Head on over to matchboxtwenty.com to check out the Los Vegas concert package if you haven't already. Get the chance to meet them! And then remember us, because we can't go. Lol.

Recent magazine appearances:
Guitar Player - (September, 2000) - two page article/interview with Kyle and Adam on page 41 with two new live pictures.
Spin - (Sept. 2000 with Creed on cover) - little blurb about how hard work and talent and not luck brought matchbox success on page 64. There was also their poll results from last month's question -- which of the many bands with numbers in their names will have the longest career -- on page 48. Our guys came in with 66%; Jurassic 5 had 22%; Third Eye Blind had a whopping 2%.

Bent was made into a Pop Up video (didn't even know they still made those), and it aired yesterdy (the 21st) on VH1 at 8:00 pm, EST.

Rob recently attended a concert of Willie Nelson's that was televised on the A&E station. The concert consisted of phone-in and internet requests which Willie Nelson played. Rob sat in front with his wife, Marisol. You could see his head occasionally, and once in a while, they'd put the camera right on him! He comes onstage and joins in on Whiskey River at the very end.

For this upcoming tour, we would LOVE it so very very much if whoever attends a concert would write a review and send it to us! We'd post them all up. I know I love reading other fans' accounts of seeing the guys live. So humor us and everyone else by letting us reading your concert experience. Just email [email protected] with your review/experience with the email subject title something like "my concert" ... sound good? =)

7/15/00 ~ There should be tour dates for the upcoming US tour available soon.

The guys will be shooting their next video in L.A. at the end of July for Mad Season's second single.

7/5/00 ~ The first American single (the Bent single) was released yesterday on the Fourth of July. Along with Bent, it also comes with an acoustic version of Push.

Austrialian News from Lauren:

* Mad Season is currently still number one and has been in the charts for 5 weeks.

Matchbox Twenty Gets 'Bent'; Considers Tour Plans
Matchbox Twenty/Third Eye Blind Feud Part 2?

Sorry for the lack of updates recently! Both of us have been extremely busy, whether it's been at work, other happenings, family, or else working on the brand new site. It's coming along. We hope to have it up and ready soon! Thanks for the patience.

6/16/00 ~ Everyone MUST vote Wednesday and Thursday at TRL! We HAVE to get Bent on the countdown, because we want our prizes, damn it! lol. Here's the deal for anyone who didn't get the Street Team Newsletter:

For the next month the Mad Seasons' Online Street Team is
on the mission to get "Bent" on TRL and keep it there! If we all work together
we can get the video to Number 1. This is the plan-we've all got to start calling
TRL on Thursdays and voting for "Bent" beginning on Thursday, June 22. You can
vote everyday too but lets focus on Thursdays. Tell your online and offline friends
to vote too. Here's how:

Call 1.800.DIAL.MTV every weekday (Thursday) between 2:00 and 2:30 pm EST.

Or you can vote online at
http://www.mtv.com/mtv/tubescan/trl99_new/
Click on Play My Song
Then click on "Bent"

Remember that you can vote online anytime! But your phone votes are the most
important for the show and should be placed only from 2:00 -- 2:30 p.m. EST!

TRL airs weekdays from 3:00 - 4:30 EST.

Matchbox twenty want to reward the Mad Season Street Team for helping to get
them on TRL. So they're giving away loads of prizes just for you guys.
Here's what you can win:

· If we get "Bent" on TRL next week, everyone on the Online Street Team (yes,
everyone!) will be entered in a drawing to win a Plaque Commemorating the incredible
sales of their record (details will come later)!!!

· After next week, every time that we get the video on TRL, 10 people from the
Online Street Team will be picked to win a signed matchbox twenty 8x10 photo
of the band.

· Every day that the video makes "Close Calls" or "Wannabe" 15 people will be
picked to win a limited edition matchbox twenty poster.

Any matchbox twenty webmaster who wants to post this nifty image (below) on their site, just copy and paste the HTML below the image. It will open the TRL voting site in a different window, so people will still keep your site displayed after they vote.

In the Rolling Stone (with Christina Aguiliara on the cover), there's an article about matchbox twenty and a picture of Rob.

Tabitha's Secret apparently is coming out with a third CD with a lot of the unreleased songs such as And Around and Like Roses. I heard this from two different people (at the same time actually, it was kind of funny), and I just emailed the official site. We'll post any news that we receive back.

If you want to watch the Artist direct fan conference that took place on June 7th, click here.

Click here to check out an audio interview with Kyle and Rob, and there are some really nice pics too! (Thanks,

Natalie)

At cdnow.com they have an advance matchbox twenty order, titled Bent. It says it won't be released until July 4th, and it's only $2.99. I really hope it's not the Bent single, because I found one in a store and payed a lot more than $2.99. Hehe

Articles:
Matchbox 20 Bomb in London - bombscare at one of the guys' concerts, but it turned out to be a hoax.
Santana and Matchbox 20 'Smooth' Things Over - Rob sang Smooth with Santana in London (6/14), and Kyle (along with keyboardist Ben Stivers) also joined in for a song. Kyle finally got to play with Santana!
Matchbox20: Season In the Sun - MTV interview with Paul and Rob along with audio clips of the interview.
It's a mad season - UK article

You can win another matchbox twenty guitar from CDNow.com by entering the contest.

We finally got hold of the scanned comic from Rolling Stone (the one with the crappy review.... Which one? ;) - Thanks, Natalie, for sending the pic! Click on the image to view the full image and read the comic.

6/8/00 ~ Click here to send matchbox twenty greeting cards. They're new and animated, and all in all, they look really great. So try them out. There's a contest if you're over 18. Whoever sends out the most of these e-cards wins two tickets to a matchbox twenty concert!

There are a few new T-Shirts to order at the Official Store and Adam said at yesterday's webconference that there will be new stuff in the upcoming weeks.

As we just said, the webconference was yesterday, and it was great -- lasted half an hour and all five of them talked! Some great questions. ArtistDirect will be archiving the broadcast soon, so we'll let you know when you can go and check it out and watch it whenever you want!

Everyone keep voting for Bent on MTV's TRL! It made it as a close call on Wednesday. Like it said in the latest Matchbox Twenty Street Team, people from the record company are counting on the fans to get them on the countdown.

6/4/00 ~ Lauren has informed us that Mad Season is NUMBER ONE on the Australian Charts! Beautiful!

Mad Season debuted at Number THREE on Billboard!

Producer Discusses Matchbox Twenty (wall of sound article - May 30)

Apparently Rob's wife, Marisol, was on an episode of VH1's Back2Back videos! She went through matchbox twenty's videos. If anyone knows if and when this episode will be reairing, please please let us know.

Congrats to Christine (of the site that used to be called Just Hang - Now it's Completely Broken In). She won the contest to meet matchbox twenty next week and see another one of their shows.

Site News: We are currently working on a total revamp of Jones Crazy - including a frames version of the site. It's all coming soon.
