How to Make a Graph

Quick and Simple instructions:
Put a title at the top of the graph that tells the reader what the graph is about.
Make your axis fill at least 3/4 of the page.
Label the x and y axis. The label should describe the property represented.
Place the proper units in parenthesis on each axis.
Place the units on each axis. On the y axis the units should increase as you move up and increase at a steady rate. It is usually best to increase by 1, 2, 5 or 10. Choose the number by your data. Remember that you want the line or bars on the graph to take up most of the page. On the x axis the numbers should increase at a regular interval as you read from left to right.
If necessary to clarify the data, add a key.
