Click at the
bottom of the page where is says “Expand for More”. Explain how heart rate is
controlled.

Explain the
difference between an artery and a vein.

Click “continue”.
Click “Put the Heart Through its Paces” Click the up arrow and notice the heart
rate. Click the up arrow a second time.
Explain what happens to the heart rate as the intensity of the exercise
increases.

Click on the
heart. On the diagram of the heart, label the right atrium, left atrium, right
ventricle and left ventricle.

Get a stethoscope from the front desk. Clean the ear pieces with a cotton swab
soaked in alcohol. Listen to your heart
sounds.

Click on coronary artery disease. Explain what happens in a heart attack.
