COLORING PLATE INSTRUCTIONS
1. Look over the entire illustration. Then scan the coloring instructions (printed in bold face type in the text). Color in order of the reading, following special instructions.
2. Color (using colored pencils) each structure indicated the same color as its name (title). Structures and their titles are linked by identical letters (subscripts). Structural relationships become apparent as visual orientation is displayed.
3. Underline the
reading in the text with the same color.
4. Color the plate in the order of presentation of titles and appearance in the text. This will make the meaning and relationships more clear.
5. If the plate
requires more colors than you have you make use stripes and polka dots.
6. All titles must
be colored within the lines. Each letter must be colored individually.
8. Be sure to pay
attention to the symbols below when they are printed on the illustration.
