5th Day

On Tuesday 16th we thought that were going to Lovell’s Flat at around 1:30pm but God changed our plans.  A family named the Pattersons were trying to make contacts for us down there but could not.  We did find out that Lovell’s Flat was established by an Englishman named John Lovell who came to New Zealand in 1810 and died in Dunedin in 1897.  So that morning Kelli and the other YWAMers went to the steepest road and I stayed back to wait for information about where were to go.  As I was praying, I got direction that we were to go west.  So we got picked up by the Patterson’s and stayed the night with them.  We were still in Dunedin, but we began our service ministry to this family.  I cut their grass and began cutting their hedge and Kelli weeded their garden and fed their baby lamb.  Kelli while at the steepest street met a Japanese lady named Eriko.  She came back to the flat with the YWAMers for lunch and Kelli gave her a Bible and shared with her about Jesus, but when we left, another YWAMer was able to talk to her more about a relationship with Jesus.  We also gave Tim the flat mate and mountain biker $20 towards his mission trip to Africa.  So we have only $8 left from the money he gave us to go out to eat with.

God taught us that He is faithful in giving us contacts to every place that we went to before we would get there.
