4th Day

On Monday the 15th, we woke up to see that Dunedin is raining cats and dogs.  All along we were planning to go down to a place called Lovells Flat, so we began to try to make contacts down there.  But were led to Luke 10:7 where it says to stay in the “same house, eating and drinking what they provide…” and decided to stay there another night. We ended up cleaning the kitchen, living room, and bathroom for the guys at the flat.  This was a very restful day.  Tim, one of the flat mates, gave us $20 to go and eat a New Zealand meal.  So we went and ate Japanese!!! It was a great meal.  As soon as we walked out of the Tokyo House, we saw two YWAMers, Richard and Nathan, across the street.  I whistled at them and we gave them hugs.  We found out that they were going to meet up with the 3 YWAMers that we saw in Timaru.  So we went and found the others and told them that there was room at the flat for them to stay.  Talk about perfect timing.  Those guys didn’t have a place to stay or food and God provided for them at just the right moment.  That was a cool experience.  Tim gave me one of his biking jerseys.  He is in the top 5 of his age group in the nation for mountain biking.

God taught us that it is better to give than to receive.
