Matthew 22:36-40
"Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?"
[37] Jesus replied, " 'You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.' [38] This is the first and greatest commandment. [39] A second is equally important: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' [40] All the other commandments and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments."
Matthew 6:21
Wherever your treasure is, there your heart and thoughts will also be.
2 Chron. 15:15
All were happy about this covenant, for they had entered into it with all their hearts. Eagerly they sought after God, and they found him. And the Lord gave them rest from their enemies on every side.
· If we search God with everything we have, we will find him.

When
in need, start loving on Him instead of asking from Him.

But I have this complaint against you. You don't love me or each other as you did at first! [5] Look how far you have fallen from your first love! Turn back to me again and work as you did at first. If you don't, I will come and remove your lampstand from its place among the churches.

Description of David from God
Psalm 89:19-29
You once spoke in
a vision to your prophet and said,
"I have
given help to a warrior.
I have
selected him from the common people to be king.
[20] I have found
my servant David.
I have
anointed him with my holy oil.
[21] I will steady
him,
and I will make him strong.
[22] His enemies
will not get the best of him,
nor will the wicked overpower him.
[23] I will beat
down his adversaries before him
and destroy those who hate him.
[24] My
faithfulness and unfailing love will be with him,
and he will rise to power because of me.

him and be kind to him forever;
my covenant with him will never end.
[29] I will
preserve an heir for him;
his throne will be as endless as the days of heaven.

But God removed
him from the kingship and replaced him with David, a man about whom God said,
'David son of Jesse is a man after my own heart, for he will do everything I

David courted God and romanced God. He won God’s

David found this through patient worship of the
Lord.
·
David captured God’s heart through passionate
worship.
·
David was 15 when God said he would be king, but
this didn’t happen until he was 37. 22
years later.
