How did He create us?

   Genesis 2:7

And the Lord God formed a man's body from the dust of the ground and breathed into it the breath of life. And the man became a living person.

James 2:26

Just as the body is dead without a spirit, so also faith is dead without good deeds.

  • Made perfect = being made whole
  • We were created for intimacy.

Ephes. 2:1-2

Once you were dead, doomed forever because of your many sins. [2] You used to live just like the rest of the world, full of sin, obeying Satan, the mighty prince of the power of the air. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God.

  • Enemy wants to influence the SPIRIT

  • The Spirit brings revelation and conviction.  Satan brings condemnation, accusation, and deception.

  • When receiving revelation we should ask God a question so that the mind will kick in.  Then move forward in action.
  • Because of disobedience in the Garden when now have a choice of the enemy or the Lord ruling our lives.
  • If you are not believing God, then you are stopping the truth.
  • Must tear the veil.
  • Wrath of God is when my back is towards God.  Must turn back to God.

2 Cor. 3:12-18

Since this new covenant gives us such confidence, we can be very bold. [13] We are not like Moses, who put a veil over his face so the people of Israel would not see the glory fading away. [14] But the people's minds were hardened, and even to this day whenever the old covenant is being read, a veil covers their minds so they cannot understand the truth. And this veil can be removed only by believing in Christ. [15] Yes, even today when they read Moses' writings, their hearts are covered with that veil, and they do not understand.

[16] But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, then the veil is taken away. [17] Now, the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, he gives freedom. [18] And all of us have had that veil removed so that we can be mirrors that brightly reflect the glory of the Lord. And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like him and reflect his glory even more.

Jeremiah 17:9

"The human heart is most deceitful and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is?

Matthew 12:34

You brood of snakes! How could evil men like you speak what is good and right? For whatever is in your heart determines what you say.

Ephes. 4:26-27

And "don't sin by letting anger gain control over you." Don't let the sun go down while you are still angry, [27] for anger gives a mighty foothold to the Devil.

If an individual has a bad attitude, they need deliverance.

Psalm 139:23

    Search me, O God, and know my heart;

test me and know my thoughts.

Proverbs 23:7

"Eat and drink," they say, but they don't mean it. They are always thinking about how much it costs.

  • Jesus Christ becoming Lord of my Life.

Col. 2:3

In him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Genesis 3:21

And the Lord God made clothing from animal skins for Adam and his wife.

Veil – 3 Main attributes that affect Christians: pride, unbelief, and independence

6 Attributes of the Fall

  1. Man becomes selfish when cut off from the life source of God.
  2. Man lose fellowship with God.  Dead in my Spirit.
  3. Begin to turn to idols.
  4. Man lost capacity to receive God’s love, so man wants own needs met and will do anything to GET Love.
  5. Now controlled by self image by what others have told. Controlled by man’s nature. Don’t reflect God, but reflect the World.  Don’t get any revelation. What world tells you, you will be.   Many Christians are small minded bc of what they have been told by others and not God. Col 2:3
  6. Fear.  Shame, Anxiety, Worry, Depression. People hide because of pride.

1 Cor. 6:17

But the person who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him.

1 Peter 1:9

Your reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls.

  • When you come to Jesus Christ, the battle begins.
  • I don’t deserve anything better than anyone else.

 Romans 8:6-8

If your sinful nature controls your mind, there is death. But if the Holy Spirit controls your mind, there is life and peace. [7] For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God's laws, and it never will. [8] That's why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God.

  • Is there life and peace, then a person is in the Spirit.

John 3:6

Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives new life from heaven.

Kingdom of the World

2 Tim. 3:1-4

You should also know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. [2] For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. [3] They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control; they will be cruel and have no interest in what is good. [4] They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God.

  • The wilderness is a place of transition and change.
  • Characteristics of Change: feeling nothing, confusion, runaway, grief anger, personal renewal, deeper healing, don’t feel like doing anything.
  • Why does God bring change?  To expose and give new vision and grow in dependence and learn more about God.

Luke 4:1-14

Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan River. He was led by the Spirit to go out into the wilderness, [2] where the Devil tempted him for forty days. He ate nothing all that time and was very hungry.

[3] Then the Devil said to him, "If you are the Son of God, change this stone into a loaf of bread."

[4] But Jesus told him, "No! The Scriptures say, 'People need more than bread for their life.' "

[5] Then the Devil took him up and revealed to him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. [6] The Devil told him, "I will give you the glory of these kingdoms and authority over them—because they are mine to give to anyone I please. [7] I will give it all to you if you will bow down and worship me."

[8] Jesus replied, "The Scriptures say,

    'You must worship the Lord your God;

        serve only him.' "

[9] Then the Devil took him to Jerusalem, to the highest point of the Temple, and said, "If you are the Son of God, jump off! [10] For the Scriptures say,

'He orders his angels to protect and guard you.

[11] And they will hold you with their hands

to keep you from striking your foot on a stone.' "

[12] Jesus responded, "The Scriptures also say, 'Do not test the Lord your God.' "

[13] When the Devil had finished tempting Jesus, he left him until the next opportunity came.

[14] Then Jesus returned to Galilee, filled with the Holy Spirit's power. Soon he became well known throughout the surrounding country.

4 Tests in the Desert

    1. Will you being willing to do what God says or will you complain?
    2. Will you overcome temptation? 1 Corn 10:13
    3. Will you walk by faith? Hebrews 11:6, Roms 10:17, James 1:2-4,              1 Pet 1:6-9
    4. Will you stand and persevere and walk into the promise land or Kingdom of God? Eph 6:13, James 1:12, Phil 3:12-14

The Way God Moves: revelation, do it or obey, understanding.

We go in the opposition way. Greek Thinking.

Why don’t people go into the promise land?

  1. Fear of losing control.
  2. Don’t understand what is being talked about.
  3. Preconceived ideas.
  4. Fear extremes. God is going to do something wild.

2 Cor. 11:3

But I fear that somehow you will be led away from your pure and simple devotion to Christ, just as Eve was deceived by the serpent.
