On the 16th October 1978 Siân set off for Granby Halls in Leicester to take part in the Midlands Model Engineering Exhibition.  These are just a few pictures of her being loaded onto a low loader for the journey.

First job find a piece of track to make the ramp from!

The low loader on which Siân was to travel to Leicester had been parked over the level crossing opposite the Springfield Hotel.  The rail ramp and associated bits of packing were put onto an open arctic set and pushed by hand to the Springfield crossing.  Here Len Crane (left) and colleague pack up the ramp while Tony Williams carries a sleeper.

After the loading ramp was fixed and packed the arctic set was pushed back to Fairbourne station and we returned with Siân.
