Chicago

Aftermath

And so I sit in class, ignoring my teacher.  The results of my trip are, of course, varied.  Materially, I left Chicago with 9 CDs, three or four books, a hat, and a coffee mug.  Mentally, I left with many memories, and myriad introverted questions.  There’s a good possibility of them all making it on here, at one point or another.

I came home, and realized that for the first time in several months, I was truly and purely exhausted.  And I assure you all, there has been plenty to exhaust me.  Such is the life of a college student.  But another thing that I realized was that there is no place for me quite like the metropolitan areas of the world.  At least, I say this now.  Who knows what I’ll say in twenty, ten, or even five years?  I certainly don’t.  AND I PITY THE FOOL WHO THINKS HE DOES.
