Chicago

Day 7:  March 13, 2003

11 a.m.:  I’ve done little today.  It’s a damn cold day in Chicago, and my face is just beginning to thaw.  However, as always, I’ve covered a lot of distance.  I found a pawn shop that, if I had more money, would be quite a prospect for the guitarist in me.  But nothing trumpet-related yet.  However, I am supposed to go to the House of Blues, tonight.  And the sheer number of possibilities for entertainment is staggering, if not endless.

Errrrm, it’ll be cool.  Speaking of such things, I think I might be getting sick.  Or a cold, at the very least.

4:30 p.m.:  It’s been a lot of walking, today.  I went to the Art Institute of Chicago, and was amazed by the amount of art, there.  Plus, it was great to actually see some of Andy Warhol’s stuff, and Picasso’s, and Dali’s.  Quite fascinating.  Note self: never leave a cell phone on all day.

9:30 p.m.:  we didn’t eat at the House of Blues, as there was a concert playing that wasn’t too particularly interesting.  Instead, we ate sushi, and I learned the true beauty of wasabi and raw fish.  Oh, divinity.
