The lyrics were inspired by Final Fantasy VII's characters: Reno (playboy, former thug) and Tifa (waitress, martial arts expert...someone else's girlfriend....!), when it was humourously suggested that they would make an attractive couple. I just ran with that idea. 

The music is reggae, I think. I'm not an expert on reggae but I just let the music write itself. The rhythm guitar is a bit strange for reggae. I actually dubbed two guitar patterns over each other to produce a syncopated effect. Just had to make the song unique!

I also used a lot of brass(synth) instruments, which was very fun to record.
