Ok, if you're tired of trying to find and use that worthless program WALLY, or of confusing instructions, i have an idiot-proof custom spray maker system here. No matter how much your computer hates you, this WILL work despite the computers best efforts to stop you. Ok, here we go...

1- Download the attachment here ...don't worry, its very simple to use.

2- Ok, save the file

3-Open WinZip

4- Open Tag Converter

5- When you open the program in WinZip there are 2 readme's and an application. Open the application.

6- Make sure you have a good picture to use for your spray. If you dont, stop right here and get a good picture ready.

7- When you have a good picture click "Open Image"

8- This next step is the hardest...Choose a picture you think looks cool or is funny.

9- After that, click "Auto Size"

10- Next, click on "Adjust Image"

11- If you need to get rid of a white border or something, click on "This tool will allow you to make a specific color transparent". Then click on the border or wherever it is you want to get rid of.

12- After that, hit "Apply changes and convert to 256 colors"

13- Then hit "Save Tag"

14- Click on the second bullet, "Export to WAD file"

15- Save it wherver you want, just make sure you can find it.

16- Ok, if you've made it this far, you will probably be able to get the spray.

17- Minimize the tag converter program, and open up My Computer.

18- Find the image and copy it.

19- Then, go into the C drive.

20- Go into the folder labeled Valve 21- Go into the sub-folder labeled Steam

22- Then find SteamApps

23- Go into it

24- You will see somewhere in there a folder with your steam account on it. Click on it.

25- There are then folders with different Half Life mods you have on your computer. Find the one you want to make this custom spray in.

26- Lets say its Day of Defeat, click on the folder, then click on the one with the abbreviated name for it (In this case dod, if it was counterstrike the name for the abbreviated folder would be cstrike)

27- Ok now that you're here, paste the file you copied (the image)

28- Dont worry, its supposed to be that weird unknown source for image kind of file.

29- Rename the file (right click, select "Rename").

30- Rename it "tempdecal.wad" ( without quote marks, and you have to include the .wad)

31- If you get a message saying Tempdecal.wad already exists, just say yes you want to replace it. If it doesnt let you do that, either change the name of the existing tempdecal to something like temdecal, or delete it.

31- Now, right click on it and select "Properties".

32- At the very bottom it has "Attributes". Archive is already selected. LEAVE THAT CHECKED!!! Then also check "Read-only". THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!

33- Hit ok

34- Alright, you're done. Go into whatever Half-Life mod you chose to make the custom spray, and give it a shot. Dont be alarmed if it doesnt work the first try or two, just try again and it should work. If you have any problems, re-read the instrucitons and make sure you followed them completely. 35- If you want to have multiple images ready for your use do these exact same steps on them, except dont name them tempdecal.wad, instead give them accurate names, like "Willie", or "clanspray".
