Nate: part 3.

Nate Albert IS the Karate Kid! Sorry Nate...I just couldn't resist that line!Pretty much everyone I have met (who knows or has heard of Nate...obviously) has something good to say about him, this is very very apparent...whether it is in the opinions of the musicians who respect him and have been honoured enough to play alongside him or the fans that whole-heartedly look upto him with the same respect...but more especially his esteemed bandmates. In my humble opinion (for what that's worth?) Nate is probably one of the most level-headed and down to earth people I've ever met in the music industry today...definitely one of the most amazingly talented and creative, but very humble with it, he was also kind enough to answer my 30 questions back in March 2002 when this little webpage was just a mere baby...so I'll always be grateful for that kindness and generosity. He is unbelievabley and undeniabley talented yet not conceited, and it goes without saying he is MIGHTY! This is the point when I say "...and I'm lucky enough to know Nate, blah blah blah!" because I have been lucky enough to be given the chance to get to know Nate, ha-ha...sorry! Since adding most of what you may have read so far to this wonderous biography and seeing The Kickovers play live five times (so far) my opinion of Nate hasn't changed at all, in fact my deep respect for him has grown so much more for the kindness he has shown me and the thoughtfulness he bestows on those around him...Nate is warm, generous and considerate, friendly and genuinely appreciative of everything and everyone around him. He's intelligent, charming, talented beyond belief, witty and very funny...you really couldn't wish to meet a better and more beautiful individual! My personal examples of Nate's kindness are that he always manages to invite me onstage at pretty much every show I attend... "This is our friend Nicola from England..." and since then it's as though I have actually been renamed "Nicola from England" by members of both The Kickovers and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones...plus many people from the Boston area! He also dedicated the whole of the band's set to me at the Boston College show (talk about a huge honour) and he's just a complete pleasure to know...a truly wonderful person! He also loves Cadbury's Crunchie bars...I supply him with these often and if we give the chocolate a plug maybe we'll get some free? Yeah right!!! Ha-ha!

The lovely Nate Albert!
