I recently attended Galaxyfest 2004 out in Vulcan, Alberta. The guest was Marina Sirtis off Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Though I'd like to say I had a blast, there's only so-much fun one can have when they're locked in a car almost all day. Yes, while Beth and Garrett were out and about Vulcan (Garrett lives there, but never really DOES anything), *I* was locked in Garrett's car. Oh well. I amused myself by mooning the passerby.

Fortunately, they did let me out and go with them to Marina's talk which was being held in the gym of the local high-school. I think I took more away from it than did Beth or Garrett. Neither one of them are AVID TNG fans. Beth only knows Marina from "Gargoyles" (on which she played Demona), but I on the other hand watch it regularly.
During the autograph/photo session following Marina signed my pouch (the part that Corin Nemec did not sign at GateCon 2003) and I then had my photo taken with her. She thought I was cute :P |
