So whether a religious person or not every man can find a way to easen the burden of stress, greed etc. Try it out for some time and se if you gained any knowledge or results.
If you are believing in God, can be any god, the best is to leave all benefits/rewards/outcome to your god within. Do that as an offering for the benefit of humanity. As humanity is a part of the divine.
There are people managing companies with this attitude.
So, I'll try to explain Karma (action and results) in a very simple way.
In Buddhism the Hindu term Karma is divided in two parts i.e. Kamma and Vippakkha. Kamma meaning volitional action and Vippakkha meaning result.
Karma can only be set in to validity when there is a conscious part in the action. Karma can be good, bad or neutral, depending on the intent.
If we divide Karma into several parts pertaining the moments it is working there would be somewhat appropriate to say that Karma can be;
- working directly.
- working under a length of time, passing to the next life
- resting and being activated by action in present time
- fully ripe waiting to be activated.
The main thing with Karma is:
You reap what you sow. The farmer that sow wheat will not reap carrots. He will reap wheat.
An action with bad/evil intent will return to us in a bad evil way. Maybe not directly but after years or lives, depending on the stored up Karma we have.
