Jonathan and Meredith met online in 1999. After a few months of talking online and by phone, they decided to meet in Downtown Disney in Orlando, Florida on July 27, 1999 (accompanied by his friend Dow, and her cousin Brooke). They were both very nervous; it felt like they already knew everything about each other, yet it was the first time they were actually meeting! They saw each other for the first time in the Virgin Music Megastore. After walking around looking at CDs and talking for about an hour, they decided to go see their first movie together: Me, Myself and Irene. Afterward, they sat and talked in a nearby cafe. She was only 15 years old (he was 16), but they knew they were in love! They dated for a year during high school, but in the end decided that the distance was too difficult. Despite their breakup, they remained close-- Jonathan was convinced that they would STILL end up together one day...Whenever a major life changing event happend in their lives- they were ALWAYS each other's first person that they would call to share it with. There would be times where they wouldn't talk for months at a time, but no matter how long it had been since they last spoke, they could always start right where they left off! In the end, both agree that spending time apart was the best thing for them: they were able to grow as individuals, and also see how special their relationship really was. In July 2004 (4 years after they originally met in Downtown Disney), they saw each other again for the first time since high school--and they've been inseparable ever since!
