"Never go to sleep angry with each other."
- Carmella Bingham
(Mere's grandmother)
"Always talk -even if you're too tired to talk."
-John and Casey LaHa
(Mere's brother & sister-in-law)
"Trust each other and always ask for each other's opinions."
-Jackie Gilman
(Mere's mom)
"Laugh when you are upset."
-Kelly Bax
(Mere's cousin)
Days will come when the two of you will strongly disagree about something really important and the tenderness of compromising simply won't be feasible. When these days come, the two of you will need to be able to make the decision and continue as a team, even though at least one of you will disagree with the chosen path. My suggestion is this: decide ahead of time how you will handle these situations so that when the emotions are heightened the decision process is accepted, understood, and reasonable. A team can endure a difficult path and end up at the same place; individuals heading down this same path may not.
-Rick Morrow
(Jonathan's brother)
A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person!
-Sue Twitty
Don't waste your energy on anger; Do compromise; Don't sweat the small stuff (and most of it is small stuff)
-Donna Dubiel
Togetherness is great, but don't be afraid to maintain your individuality and share in it together- it will keep each of you interesting to the other."
-Tracey Pierson
