Act 5, Scene 3:
Paris is at the Capulet's
tomb laying flowers for Juliet. Romeo comes along, and Paris thinks he
should capture him because he shouldn't be in Verona. Paris and Romeo get
in a fight, and Romeo ends up killing Paris. Romeo goes into the tomb,
admires Juliet one last time, drinks his poison, and dies. Friar Lawrence
arrives, and sees Balthasar. Balthasar tells him that he is in the Tomb
with Juliet. Friar Lawrence runs in, and finds Romeo dead. Just
then, Juliet wakes up, and sees Romeo dead. The friar urges Juliet to
get out, because they would get in trouble found in there. Juliet refuses,
takes Romeo's dagger, and stabs herself, figuring she'd rather be dead than
without Romeo. |
