Other Species

Jikaala

The Jikaala are a very widespread species, with large colonies all over the Empire. They are reasonably well-advanced, technology wise, yet have very little in the way of culture and religion. The main reason for this is the males of the species, who are ten times the size of the females, who are a similar size to Norns. Until it is mating season, the males are brutal and vicious, tending to fight in bloody battles, but the mating pheremones of the females pacify them immensely. The Jikaala are bipedal reptillian creatures, with blue-green coloured scales and four limbs, not including tail. Jikaalan females have excellent reputations as scientists, and for incredible patience with males of any species.

The Others

The Others are the most bizzare species in the Empire. They are transdimensional beings of pure energy, taking on the form of a ghostly pale light. They are immortal, and ancient Shee records show that they were known at least nine thousand years ago. They are great thinkers and philosophers, as well as being pacifists, mainly because they are non-corporeal. They sell information, though what they do with the money is unknown.

Mondarins

Mondarins are a diminutive species, roughly the same size as a Norn. They have pale mottled grey skin, large black eyes and tiny, almost non-existent noses. They are reasonably bright, but have a terrible reputation for being utter jerks. Many are found as salesmen, insurance agents and lawyers. They are tolerated as nobody else in their right mind would take those sort of jobs.
