The Borg Norns

The Borg Norns are a biomechanical race that once terrorised Albia and the other worlds in the Empire. Their frightening mix of organic and cybernetic parts helped them hold sway over their vast territory in deep space, but after encountering the Jotun they have slowly vanished from power, leaving behind a meager collective compared to the great might they had been.

At first, the Borg Norns were a large threat to the Jotun, assimilating scoutships and traders, as well as engaging in huge battles with the Imperial Fleet. To combat this, the first of the 'true' warships was built. After numerous Borg Norn tries to assimilate the Imperial Warships, the Jotun began to systematically wipe the scourge from the galaxy. The Borg Norns were driven back to the far-flung reaches of the galaxy, and are still rare in the Empire to this day.
However, some have recorded seeing cubes in the Ljynii galaxy, although these reports are rare and from dubious sources.
