Hurricane Dennis blew away Jon's original plan that was set in Seville Park in Pensacola. We like to walk around downtown and just enjoy each other's company so the park is special to us. Unfortunately Pensacola was off limits since the storm was blowing in the next day. Fortunately, Jon is a creative genius who conspired with my parents to make the evening beautiful. First we walked over to my home church (which is next door to my parent's house) to "play the youth group's XBox." Jon opens a door to one of the rooms and says, "I think it's in here." When the door opens were surrounded with candles and flowers and white and red decorations everywhere. We had a candlelight dinner, followed by a Cary Grant movie on the big screen (aka: the wall). We prayed together in the sanctuary and as we were kneeling on the altar Jon asked me to be his wife. It was absolutely stunning!
