The Problems in the Philippine Music Industry

Remember the words: "PURE OPINION"

I have no idea what is wrong with the world today. it's all falling apart, huh? It was hard for me to be able to purchase the latest album of slipknot, titled "Iowa", but i did. As you might know, it was released there in the states last summer so you might be thinking "what is up with the Philippines? They can't release ORIGINAL cds on time?" believe me, although they keep on insisting that we buy original cds, it is quite impossible to do so with all the european companies supplying all diffrent type of pop and r&b to this pop and r&b oriented country. It's pretty sad, because in the local record dealers, you see therap section, the r&b section, the country section, the jazz section, the j-pop section(i have no idea on that one...),the religious section, and the pop/rock section(where all the types of music i like are). they categorize all "other" types of music under pop! as if they need the j-pop section!! people here want to be so black here, it's just so horrible when someone would say something that would get them killed if they were in the states(example: Nigger) they love rap so much that they want to act like p. diddy or something. They forget that they are filipinos, which they should be proud of. our ancestors fought our their country, and blah, blah, blah.. People also like listenning to computer generated music, and not the good old fashioned use of real instruments which require talent and dedication and stuff like that. Not only that, but people buy fake stuff made in malaysia, most probably by forced children and stuff like that, cuz that's where most of the other fake stuff i see come from. so that is yet another factor of suppliers not bothering anymore. But last year, a band was able to release an album ON TIME...

Linkin park makes great sounding music. Ever since the first music video of the hit song "One Step Closer" was first shown here in the philippines, I thought it would be a great new band I would like. Hell, though their music video and overall style was horrid, I liked the song"Points of Authority"... For a while. As time passed and I heard "points of authority" too many times, the album eventually came out. I was very eager to open the cd and put it into my player. It was very dissapointing to hear over an hour of this crap. Practically everything in this peice of shit donkey-impregnating muther fuck album was was the worst fucking dumbass rotten dog shit i have heard since the mambo number 5. It had everything I hate in a band:Rap, pop, repeating instrumentals, and stupid ass kiddie-porn themes! The worst part of it was that people liked it, and labelled it under the heavy rock category! This obviously talentless band hit it big in the charts around the world in less than a month! I could not think of anything worse! And that, my friends is why I am really pissed off... That is all...
