ho ho ho everyone....
Personally, I really look forward to the Holiday seasons. Not only because of the presents, but for celebrating the birth of Christ, the son of God. See, in the Christian religion, People Celebrate With festivities, and not by Having a 24/7 Pray-a-thon. But enough talk of tradition. Its a brand new millenium with brand new ideas, so let's see what we can do. Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get.
Let's see now.... Yeah, Christmas only comes once in a year, so you should make it as fun-filled as possible! So you should go and add new things to your christmas this year. I've heard some ideas on several things, but these really caught my attention the most, though quite stupid, you might wanna read it.
odd decorations
This idea here really caught my eye. It really Gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling, seeing good decorations for the season. The best type of live decoration is under the rodent type. Little rodents or animals like Squirrels or rabbits are 2 very well-known loveable characters. You should avoid Using non-loveable characters like rats, because they just tend to scare people away...
Now the idea of snowmen have been all around us since the start of America. But living in a tropical island all across the world from the land of the free DOES bring certain difficulties in making a snowman, just finding something cold can be quite costly... But what you CAN do is make a plain-looking boring lawn into a "snow-covered" lawn using one of the most abundant things here in the Philippines: RICE. I know that the idea is lame, but add in some of your own ideas, and THERE YOU HAVE IT! You got yourself one great-looking lawn... I guess....
Finally, How can you have Christmas without a nice Christmass tree? Once again, there's the factor that I live in an area where you can't get a good tree. Usually, you would see lots of people with fake trees. But I don't blame them. If I would see a pine tree, it would most likely be half-dead, and quite costly, just like everything else that is of any use to mankind. I really thought about it, and I thought of so many diffrent trees, but i came to the conclusion that coconut trees are quite good for decorations. Yes, COCONUT trees. They are quite cheap to decorate, you dont need piles and piles of christmas lights, just 10 to 15 meters would do the job. Not only is it easier to grow it, but after a while, you got yourself a couple nice, big, coconuts which really help for some filipino dishes. The problem? They are hard to decoraate. Climbing them to put up lights can be a real pain. other than that, they are good trees.
