The fourth child of Mr. Manuel Mina of Tagudin, Ilocos Sur, and Mrs. Epifania Fernandez Mina of Baybay, Leyte, Josephine Mina was born in Davao City. Although she wasn't lucky enough to reach college, she became a professional singer for ten years before venturing into romance writing, on her own self-determination. She has been a member of KATHA, a national organization of Filipino songwriters, lyricists, and arrrangers.She used to write a column for Daily Aliwan, "Tsika Lang, Mga Misis" and has more than 20 short stories and 1,000 column articles to her name. Her first romance novel is Pagkat Ikaw ay Ikaw, published by Pinoy-Lorimar Publishing, written under her penname, Glenda Amor. Josephine has already traveled in Germany and other European countries. She now lives in Quezon City, still writing romances and on ocassion with friends in singing along sessions. She loves to travel, cook, read and see movies. |
