| The Traits of a Father |
| Ears that hear the softest cry, and delight in the laughter of play; A voice that calms our greatest fear, yet can keep us in line through the day; Eyes so gentle that glisten with love, tho' heartache at times resides there... A smile speaking volumes with nary a word that says instantly... "I care." A back strong enough to carry the world... his world, his family and friends; Struggling daily to bear the load, his selflessness transcends. And last, but not least are arms that are deep, encircling us with his love; Yes these are the traits that make fathers great, for they mimic our Father above. |
