On the
Mediterranean's Golden Mile near Marbella, the Hotel Puente Romano is situated in the
heart of what is probably Europe's finest, exotic micro-climate, and the home to the Costa
del Sol's highest concentration of golf courses. The horizontally-constructed hotel
consists of 26 Andalucian-style, three-story, low-rise buildings. Housing secluded and
spacious suites with contemporary Mediterranean decor and all modern amenities, they are
surrounded by waterfalls and carefully manicured subtropical gardens.
Location
In the heart of the Golden Mile between Marbella and Puerto Banus, the Hotel
Puente Romano nestles along the Mediterranean coast at the foot of the Sierra Blanca
Mountains. The 10-acre resort is a 45-minute drive south-west of Malaga.
Golf
Courses
Guests are entitled to special discounts at a selection of golf courses near to
the resort, and have exclusive use and guaranteed
tee-times at the Marbella Club Golf Resort.
Facilities
The resort has 234 rooms, each with a private terrace or balcony and there are
three swimming pools (2 heated) for exclusive use of the guests. The resort has three fine
restaurants, El Puente, Roberto Italian and the Beach Club, which offer a wealth of
gastronomic delights, and there is a choice of three bars, each with their own distinctive
ambience. The Puente Romano Tennis & Fitness Centre offers ten tennis courts, four
paddle tennis courts, gymnasium, games room and golf proshop. Water sports,
Thalasso Spa, riding and polo are also available.
Packages
Rates vary seasonally, but start at US$150 per night. Special Spa and golf
packages are also available.
Just a
stone's throw from the serene white-sand beaches, the heart of the hotel and its social
focus is the Roman Bridge (Puente Romano) after which the resort is named. |
