Why is it always the wide receivers in the NFL that stir up the trouble. Randy Moss, Keyshawn Johnson, among others are always at the top of the list for causing trouble. As we all know Terrell Owens passed up the deadline that would enable him to scan the field of free agency and make his pick. Many people blame his agent for missing the deadline. I in fact do as well. By missing the deadline, the Ravens took advantage of this and traded for him. Owens apparently not happy, did what he does best, wine. Wine he did to the league, who in turn granted his wish. It as if he just rewrote the rule books, in Sharpie. Personally I think the NFL should be embarrased for being, shall I say, intimidated by T.O. and giving him the chance to make a move. He missed the deadline, and should not have been allowed any more leaway then a back up kicker. This makes the league look like they will let the "stars" do whatever they please. This ended up up in an agreement between the three teams. The 49ers ended up getting Brandon Whiting fromm the Ravens, the Ravens got a fifth round pick from the Eagles, and the Eagles got of course Terrell Ownes the former 49ers star. In all of this I have been very surprised by a team. That is the Baltimore Ravens who definetly got the short end of the stick. The Ravens have been incredibly quiet during this time showing great class. They were guarenteed by the league, Terrell, but in turn they got a fifth round pick. They needed a wideout and had theirs, but it was lost and left them a few days back in the off-season to get one. I am really impressed by Baltimore in this situation. The league made the wrong decision here and have opened a door for other irresponsible players in the league. What has happened here has shown that if your good enough you can get away with stuff that others in the league definetly couldn't.
