Fully Grown Symbiote is approx. 30 to 50 centimeters long.

Colour varies from a Pale fleshy pink to Jet Black

Larvae are usually pale pink, small and look like really ugly worms with jaws.

Adult Goa'uld resemble a snake, but they have large powerful jaws, used for entering the host and a sail near their head.

The Symbiote has four 'teeth' used to open the wound, and three fins that just look evil.

Habitat

The Larval Goa'uld live in a type of Placental liquid until they reach the age where they can live in the pouch of a Jaff'a Host

A gestation period of seven years follows and after the seven years they enter a host.

The current host of choice for a goa'uld seems to be humans. Most likely because the Goa'uld can extend the Human lifespan numerous times. The Sarcophagus pushes the extended life to the point where the Goa'uld have almost unlimited life.

The other race used as hosts are the Unas(the first ones), Who's regenerative powers allow them to heal from most wounds except the most fatal.

The Goa�uld were slowly becoming extinct until Ra the High Lord discovered humans and began to use them as hosts. When in a human host the Goa�uld have greatly increased strength and excellent regenerative powers. They also show glowing eyes and a distorted deep voice, but they could control it, they used these attributes to impress the common folk. When a Goa�uld takes a human host there is a battle of wills, Parasite Vs Host, the Parasite usually wins, and the winner takes control of the body. Once the battle is won, the Goa�uld is �blended with the host, being able to access all the hosts memories, and the host is able to access the Goa�ulds. This is proven when Captain/Major Sam Carter was possessed by a Tok�Ra (A Goa�uld rebel) known as Jolinar. As a result, she has very random access (but still access) to all of Jolinars thoughts and can also use all Goa�uld technology.

As a Culture the Goa�uld are quite Feudalistic, each Goa�uld is always involved in some sort of power struggle with its equals, and subserviant to their ultimate superiors, the System Lords.

The Goa�uld traveled to Earth in our quite distant past and pretended to be a god of a particular culture or country. The most common and powerful of these goa�ulds were acting as the Egyptian gods: Ra the High Lord, Anubis, Hathor, Apophis, Heru-ur, Osiris, Seth, Sokar etc. When they controlled Earth they took many cultures people and spread them throughout the galaxy, resulting in numerous worlds with descendants of their culture or even Hybrids. These people to be rediscovered by The Tau�ri team SG-1. The stealing of these people served only for two reasons. 1. To be a source of hosts for mature Goa�uld Symbiotes. 2. As a work force to be exploited at the will of the ruling Goa�uld.

At a certain point the Goa�uld discovered the Stargate network (they call it the Chappa�ai), and being a parasitic race claimed it as their own. They still use it to continue to dominate and destroy hundreds of worlds through out the galaxy.

The Goa�uld are an EXTREMELY hostile race, and should be avoided at all costs...unless you WANT to go on a definite suicide mission....
